Radhika Desai
Dr. Radhika Desai teaches politics at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She is the author of 'Intellectuals and Socialism: Social Democrats and the British Labour Party', which was nominated "Book of the Month" by New Statesman and Society. Among other things, she is currently working on a book on the rise of Hindutva.

Radhika Desai earned her B.A. (Hons.) from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India in 1984 and her M.A. and Ph. D in 1986 and 1991 respectively from Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario. She has been teaching at the University of Victoria since 1992. Dr.Desai's research interests includec comparative politics (advanced industrial and developing), Marxist Theory, capitalist development and underdevelopment; political parties; political economy; theories of culture; South Asia, Asia, Africa, Britain and Europe
